Description of the campsite
San Matteo Resort campsite, a 4-star tourist village (villaggio turistico), is located in Mattinata, in the heart of the Gargano National Park. Its newly built small villas (villette) have a veranda and private garden. Just 200 metres from the coast, it has a private beach run directly by the resort, the Lido San Matteo. Facilities include a swimming pool, solarium, restaurant, bar, tennis, football and parking. It also offers excursions, rafting or canoeing and a nearby beach. Two restaurants: Piana Matino, with an air-conditioned dining room or a garden among centuries-old olive trees, and Al Ciringuito, on the beach. The Gargano Experience programme offers trekking at Vignanotica, Faraglioni and Monte Saraceno, as well as boat trips to the caves. A good starting point for discovering the Gargano coast.
