Description of the campsite
Lake Sainte-Croix spreads its turquoise waters beside Bauduen, one of the villages left on the shore of the reservoir when the valley was flooded to create this artificial lake, today one of the most photographed in France. Camping Les Restanques offers a restaurant as its main facility, taking care of meals without needing to leave the site. Bauduen keeps narrow stone streets that run down to a small harbour where boats and canoes are moored in summer, with direct views of the lake and, a little further north, of the entrance to the Gorges du Verdon. It is a good starting point for swimming, sailing without a motor or enjoying the terraced landscape that gives the campsite its name.
