Description of the campsite
Pontis looks out over Lake Serre-Ponçon, the great Alpine reservoir that serves as an inland sea for the Hautes-Alpes, surrounded by mountains and small stone villages. Camping Les Chappas has barbecue areas, bungalows, takeaway food, a supermarket and wifi, and is close to a bathing area on the lake. The turquoise waters of the reservoir allow sailing, swimming and boat trips, while the villages on the shore keep their traditional Alpine character.
