Camping La Barque, by Sandaya, is in the Fougerettes district (quartier des Fougerettes) of Fréjus, next to Saint-Aygulf, on the plain at the mouth of the Argens river. Fréjus was founded by the Romans and still keeps an amphitheatre and an aqueduct from that era. The reddish Esterel massif, with its porphyry rocks, rises very close to the east, marking the end of this river plain. In 2026 the campsite opened from 7 May to 20 September; it is best to confirm the dates of each season when booking.
