Les Onchères is in Barbâtre, at the southern tip of the Île de Noirmoutier, very close to the Passage du Gois, the causeway that is covered by the tide twice a day and has been the setting for several stages of the Tour de France. The island combines salt marshes, oyster farming and fine-sand beaches in a small area. The campsite has a bar, bungalows, takeaway food, a pool and a beach nearby.
