Description of the campsite
Saint-André-des-Eaux sits in the Brière region, the great Breton marshland of canals and reeds that is now a regional nature park, a short distance from the beaches of La Baule. Camping Les Chalands Fleuris, whose name recalls the marsh's traditional boats, has a bar and two pools, one of them indoor, plus a spa for relaxing after chaland (traditional flat-bottomed boat) trips along the canals of the Brière. Dogs are allowed on the site. La Baule beach is a short drive away. It is best to book well ahead in summer and to check the opening dates with the campsite.
