Description of the campsite
Frossay sits beside the Loire estuary, on the border between the Pays de Retz and the great Brière marshland, a landscape of canals and reed-thatched cottages unique in France. Camping La Cale Sauvage offers a bar, bungalows and a restaurant, in a quiet setting from which you can take a traditional boat along the canals of the nearby marshland. The estuary, with its traffic of large ships heading for Saint-Nazaire, contrasts with the calm of the inland canals. The campsite is open from 3 April to 4 October.
