Piriac-sur-Mer preserves one of the most picturesque old towns of the Guérande peninsula, with 17th-century shipowners' houses grouped around a small harbour, very close to the traditional salt pans of Guérande. Camping Bontempo Village Bretagne offers a bar, bungalows, a playground, indoor and outdoor pools, a restaurant and tennis courts, accepts pets and has a spa, with the beach a short distance away among rocky coves. It is a convenient base for walking the coastal path to Mesquer or visiting the Guérande salt marshes, where fleur de sel is still harvested by hand.
