The Quercy, an area of limestone causses (plateaus) in the north of the Lot, surrounds Cahors with a landscape of dry plateaus, deep-cut valleys and golden-stone villages such as Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, one of the most admired in France. Camping Quercy Vacances, in Saint-Pierre-Lafeuille, has a bar, restaurant and wifi for everyday needs, a pool for the summer heat, and bungalows and glamping tents for those who prefer not to bring their own equipment. Cahors, with its fortified Valentré bridge, is a short distance away, as are the Pech Merle caves and the Célé valley.
