Camping Marmotel is in Saint-Geniez-d'Olt, in the Aveyron department of Occitanie, on the banks of the Lot, at the gateway to the Aubrac, in a former town of tanners and wool workers in the Lot valley. It is a seasonal campsite with a bar and barbecue areas, as well as bungalow accommodation, a playground, a pool and a restaurant. The surrounding valleys and plateaus of the Aubrac are ideal for walks along the Lot, tasting aligot (cheesy mashed potatoes) and the local cheeses, and exploring the historic centre of Saint-Geniez, with its golden stone facades.
