Description of the campsite
Cajarc spreads its old town over a bend of the river Lot, very close to Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, in a land of limestone causses (limestone plateaus) and golden-stone villages that attracted former president Georges Pompidou as a summer retreat. Camping Le Terriol allows dogs throughout the site, designed as a simple, quiet base for those who put the scenery of the Lot valley before the campsite's amenities. The surroundings invite hiking on the causses, canoeing on the river and visits to the neighbouring villages of the Quercy, far from the summer bustle of the more touristy parts of the Lot. The campsite operates throughout the season, although it is best to reconfirm the exact dates before booking.
