Description of the campsite

Méjannes-le-Clap occupies a limestone plateau in the Gard Cévennes, a causse (limestone plateau) covered in garrigue and holm oaks where caving and climbing attract lovers of dry mountain country. Camping La Genèse offers a simple site in the very heart of the causse, with no extras beyond the accommodation itself, designed for those looking for nature and silence away from the bustle of the coast. The caves and avens (limestone shafts) of the area, typical of the Cévennes karst landscape, invite you to explore on foot. It is open from 17 April to 27 September, and it is best to book well ahead before planning your visit to the causse.
