Aiguèze crowns a crag above the Ardèche gorges, right opposite Saint-Martin-d'Ardèche, with privileged views of the canyon and recognised as one of the most beautiful villages in France for its stone lanes. Camping des Cigales offers bungalows, a bar and takeaway food, with a swimming pool for the summer heat and its own restaurant. Dogs are allowed throughout the site and there is wifi for those who travel connected. It is a charming base for canoeing down the gorges and for exploring the golden-stone villages of the Gard on the border with the Ardèche.
