Montcabrier, a royal bastide founded in the 13th century on a promontory in the Lot, preserves its medieval layout of straight streets and its Gothic church, in an area of causses (limestone plateaus) and valleys little travelled between Fumel and Cahors. Camping Déjà Vu, a seasonal campsite, has a bar, pétanque, a pool, a restaurant and tennis courts, in a quiet rural setting from which to explore Bonaguil, whose fortified castle rises a few kilometres away. It is a discreet base for discovering the western Lot away from the routes most frequented by tourism. This is a seasonal campsite, so please confirm the exact opening dates in advance.
