Gerde is a neighbour of Bagnères-de-Bigorre, the spa town of the Hautes-Pyrénées, and shares with it a landscape of mountains rising towards the Pic du Midi massif. Camping de l'Adour has barbecues, bungalows, glamping, a jacuzzi, a playground, pétanque, a pool, a sauna, hiking, a spa, television and wifi, beside the river that gives the campsite its name. The Adour, which rises in these mountains, accompanies many of the hiking routes in the area before becoming a major Atlantic river. The calendar of this campsite is still unconfirmed; asking well in advance is the most sensible thing to do.
