Description of the campsite
Vaux-sur-Mer, next to Royan, faces the Atlantic from a coast of low cliffs and pinewoods that stretches towards Nauzan beach, popular with surfers for its moderate waves. Camping Val Vert, a seasonal campsite, has bungalows, takeaway food, a playground, fishing, pétanque and a pool, with the beach a short distance away among pine trees. It is a simple base for alternating sea swimming with walks along the coastal path towards Royan or excursions to the Gironde estuary and its Cordouan lighthouse. As this is a seasonal campsite, please confirm the exact opening dates before booking.
