Description of the campsite
Camping Municipal Le Soleil is in La Rochelle, the port city that for centuries guarded its entrance to the sea with the Chaîne and Saint-Nicolas towers, still standing on either side of the Vieux-Port. The municipally run campsite has bungalows and wifi, and dogs are allowed. From here it is easy to visit La Rochelle Aquarium or cross to the Île de Ré by the bridge linking the city with the island. As the season status has not yet been confirmed, it is best to ask directly about the opening dates before planning your stay.
