Camping Municipal La Passerelle is in Saint-Julien-en-Born, very close to the Contis lighthouse, one of the few cast-iron lighthouses still working on the French Atlantic coast, which you can climb to see the Landes pine forest as far as the eye can reach. The municipally run campsite has a bar and wifi, and dogs are allowed. The nearby beach, with waves suited to surfing, is one of the great attractions of this stretch of the Landes coast. It is open the full season, although it is best to confirm the exact dates before booking.
