Camping Municipal La Garenne is in Port-des-Barques, in the Charente-Maritime département, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, at the mouth of the Charente river, on the Atlantic coast near Rochefort, opposite the tidal island of Madame. It is a seasonal municipal campsite with a swimming pool and bungalows. It has a playground, pétanque and television. Its surroundings are ideal for hiking, fishing and walks by the water, and for discovering the marshes and oyster-farming ports of the Atlantic coast.
