Description of the campsite
Saint-Martin-de-Ré crowns the island of Ré with its Vauban ramparts, declared a World Heritage site, an old town of white houses and green shutters that receives thousands of cyclists every summer. Camping Municipal de Saint-Martin-de-Ré, next to the walled enclosure, offers bungalows, a bar and barbecues with a takeaway food service, plus a small supermarket and television in the common areas. Pets are allowed and there is wifi on site. The sandy beach can be reached on foot in a few minutes. As it is a full-season campsite, it is best to book well ahead in high summer.
