Description of the campsite
Saint-Jean-de-Luz shares out its sheltered bay between the fishing port and the quietest fine-sand beaches of the Basque Coast, with Ciboure on the other side of the harbour and the Spanish border a short way along the coast. Camping Merko-Lacarra offers bungalows with television and wifi in the accommodation, plus hiking routes towards the nearby Basque hills. The beach is very close to the site. It is a convenient base for exploring Saint-Jean-de-Luz, its port and its Basque cuisine, as well as Hendaye and the coast bordering Spain. The season dates are still to be confirmed: check them directly with the campsite.
