The Île de Ré welcomes its visitors at Rivedoux-Plage, just across the bridge that links it with La Rochelle, a first contact with the island that already heralds its fine-sand beaches and its particular Atlantic light. Camping Les Fougères offers bungalows, a swimming pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna for relaxing, a spa and a playground for families with small children. The beach is close, a short walk away, with the relaxed atmosphere that characterises the whole island, famous for its white houses with green shutters and its cycle paths.
