Description of the campsite
A few minutes from Royan and the mouth of the Gironde, Saint-Palais-sur-Mer keeps the air of a discreet seaside resort that the bourgeoisie favoured in the early last century, with rocky coves among pine woods and the Grande Côte open to the Atlantic. Camping Le Repos, seasonal, has bungalows for resting after the beach, which is a short walk through the pine forest. It is a quiet base for alternating swims in the ocean with excursions to Royan, to the Cordouan lighthouse or to the oyster-farming villages of the coast.
