Description of the campsite
Camping L'Orée du Bois, part of the Sandaya chain, is in Les Mathes, in the Charente-Maritime department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, on the Arvert peninsula, close to the beach, on the Côte de Beauté. Ecological in character, it is a large seasonal campsite with a swimming pool and spa, plus a solarium, and offers bungalow accommodation and an adventure park, with a playground. There are adaptations for people with reduced mobility and an entertainment programme. Its coastal and forest setting, among sandy beaches, dunes and the La Coubre forest, invites bike rides along the greenways, swimming in the ocean and discovery of the nearby dunes and La Palmyre zoo in the height of summer, beside the Atlantic Ocean.
