Saint-Paul-lès-Dax is part of the Dax urban area, the oldest spa town in France, famous for its hot waters and mud baths beside the Adour river. Camping des Abesses, a seasonal campsite, has a bar, barbecue areas, a room with TV and wifi, and its own spa to extend on site the thermal atmosphere that characterises the area. Dogs are allowed. It is a convenient base for combining spa treatments with walks along the Adour riverbanks or trips towards the Landes and its pine forest.
