Description of the campsite
Locmaria occupies the eastern end of Belle-Île-en-Mer, the largest of the Breton islands, with the small harbour of Port-Andro sheltered between low cliffs. The locally run Camping Municipal de Port-Andro offers a nearby beach, a restaurant, allows dogs and has hiking and wifi, in a quiet island setting far from the island's main port. The coastal paths that run around the island, among heathland and cliffs, offer some of the most open views over the Atlantic. The campsite's calendar is yet to be confirmed; asking before organising the visit is prudent.
