La Forêt-Fouesnant lies beside a narrow ria on the south coast of Brittany, between Concarneau and Fouesnant, with a small harbour and beaches sheltered from the open swell. Camping Keranterec has a bar, a billiards table, bungalows, a playground, pétanque, an outdoor and an indoor pool, a restaurant, a spa, a supermarket, tennis, television and wifi, and the beach is nearby. The ria, calm and lined with trees down to the shore, can be explored by kayak, while the citadel of Concarneau is a short distance away. It opens in season; checking with the campsite exactly when it opens, before travelling, avoids surprises.
