Description of the campsite
Camping Lac de Panthier is in Vandenesse-en-Auxois, in the Côte-d'Or department of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, beside Lake Panthier, in the heart of the Auxois. It is a seasonal campsite with an outdoor pool, an indoor pool and a children's pool, as well as a restaurant, a bar and a supermarket, and it offers bungalow accommodation with air conditioning. It has a bakery, a playground, pétanque, bicycle rental and an entertainment programme, along with television. Dogs are allowed. Its setting, between the lake, the vineyards and the Canal de Bourgogne, invites walks to the nearby Château de Châteauneuf-en-Auxois and bike rides along the Côte d'Or. Between 2026 and 2027 there is renovation work on the dam of Lake Panthier, so it is best to check with the campsite which lake activities are available. It is a comfortable, well-located base for families touring Burgundy in the summer season beside the water.
