Description of the campsite
Camping Municipal Les Chaussières is in Châtillon-en-Diois, in the Drôme department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, beside the Bez river, in the Vercors massif. It is a seasonal municipal campsite with a pool and a restaurant, as well as accommodation in bungalows and glamping, and offers a bar, shaded pitches and toilets. It has pétanque and wifi, and allows dogs. Its high-mountain setting, among forests, cliffs and the vineyards of the Clairette de Die, invites hiking in the Drôme part of the Vercors and discovering the perched villages of the Diois. It is an affordable, well-located base for families and motorhome travellers exploring the high Vercors country in the height of the summer season, in the nature of south-eastern France away from mass tourism.
