Description of the campsite
Camping Le Chassezac is in Sampzon, in the Ardèche department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, beside a river, right at the entrance to the Ardèche and Chassezac gorges. It is a seasonal campsite with an adult pool and a children's pool, as well as a restaurant and bar, and it offers accommodation in bungalows. It has basketball, a gym, table football, a sports field, fishing, pétanque and a playground, along with takeaway food. Its riverside, limestone setting invites canoeing down the Chassezac river and walks along the cliffs and through the stone villages of the southern Ardèche in the height of summer, beside the water and the Mediterranean nature of south-eastern France, close to Vallon-Pont-d'Arc and the Chauvet cave.
