Description of the campsite
Saint-Michel-de-Chabrillanoux is tucked away in the Boutières, the green Ardèche of narrow valleys and chestnut trees that extends north of the better-known gorges of the river, in an area still little visited by mass tourism. Camping Le Chabrioux has a swimming pool, sports field and pétanque, an entertainment programme in high season, a bar, barbecues on the pitches, a playground and a washing machine for long stays. The nearby Eyrieux valley preserves old railway lines converted into greenways much appreciated for walking and cycling. It is a different Ardèche from the crowded gorges: greener, cooler and with a markedly rural pace of life.
