Camping L'Île des Pêcheurs is in Condrieu, in the Rhône département of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, on an island in the Rhône, beside a river, in the heart of the Côtes du Rhône wine country. It is a seasonal campsite with a pool and a bar, plus fishing, pétanque and hiking. Its river and wine-growing setting, between the river, the Condrieu vineyards and the Pilat hills, invites walks along the Rhône bank and discovering the vineyards of the Côte and nearby Vienne, a Roman imperial city. It is a practical, well-located base for families in the Rhône valley during the summer season beside the water and the wine-growing and Gallo-Roman heritage of the southern Rhône, far from the mass tourism of the big city of Lyon.
