Description of the campsite
Bénivay-Ollon is lost among lavender fields and gentle hills in the Provençal Drôme, that transitional strip where the south begins to be felt in the air and in the colour of the earth, with stone villages perched on the ridges. Camping Domaine de l'Écluse offers bungalows, a bar and a pool for the summer heat, for relaxing after visiting the neighbouring villages and their Provençal markets. It is a quiet base for exploring the lesser-known Drôme, between Nyons and Vaison-la-Romaine, away from the crowds of tourist Provence. The season dates are yet to be confirmed: it is best to check them directly with the campsite before travelling.
