Description of the campsite
Camping des Tunnels is in Vallon-Pont-d'Arc, at the entrance to the Ardèche Gorges, right where the river has sculpted over millennia the famous stone arch that gives the village its name and that can be crossed by canoe. The replica of the Chauvet cave, with its cave paintings among the oldest in the world, can be visited very close to the campsite. The site has a bar, barbecues, bungalows, takeaway food, a restaurant and a supermarket, a practical base for those who come to descend the river by canoe or kayak. As the season status is not yet confirmed, it is best to ask directly for the opening dates before booking.
