Camping de Martinière is in Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse, in the Isère department, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, in the heart of the Chartreuse massif, next to the Col de Porte, near the Grande Chartreuse monastery. It is a seasonal campsite with a library and bungalow accommodation, as well as a playground and an indoor swimming pool, and it offers a restaurant and a supermarket. Its surroundings of fir forests and limestone cliffs invite walks along the paths that climb to the pass, skiing in winter and the discovery of the Carthusian abbey, the birthplace of the famous green liqueur.
